President José Maria Neves expressed concern over the rising emigration of young
professionals from Cape Verde and the difficulties faced by patients seeking
medical treatment abroad, especially in Portugal. Ahead of his six-day visit to
Portugal starting June 1, Neves emphasized the negative impact on the labor
market and the need to strengthen ties with the diaspora.
