Guinea’s Media Freedom Shrinks as Private Outlets Lose Licenses

One year after revoking the operating licenses of six major private radio and TV stations for “non-compliance” Guinea has seen a significant reduction in its media landscape. Similar measures have followed, with Prime Minister Bah Oury calling for greater responsibility and professionalism among journalists.
